About the Artist

Sandra Bordes has been drawing and painting since she was a child, when she would sit in her backyard and draw the boats, water canals and marshes around her home. She has studied in art schools in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Her studies include animal portraiture, fine art, graphic design and children's book illustration. Her work has been exhibited and sold throughout New England.

Sandra incorporates her two greatest loves—art and animals—to create these delightful animal portraits. They are available either as 11" x 14" originals, matted and suitable for framing, or as note cards (5 1/2" x 4 1/4").

As an animal lover and rescue volunteer, she has contributed her artwork to animal rescue groups and kennels.
